    When purchasing a new replacement battery, it’s better to ask a professional who can present you with the right group size and battery type for your needs.

  • Where can I dispose of an old battery?

    You can bring your battery over to our workshop at Schembri Batteries in Marsa, and we will dispose of it correctly.

  • Why should I recycle old batteries?

    If not disposed of correctly, batteries can present serious harm to the environment. Batteries can leak out chemicals into the environment, leading to soil and water contamination. This chemical contamination can even affect animals and humans in the area.

  • Can I change the brand of battery I use?

    Yes. you can substitute a brand for another one, as long as the device or vehicle in question can accept the chemistry of the new brand in question. It is always ideal to pop by at our workshop to find a suitable replacement that is compatible with your device.

  • My new battery is not working. Is it defective?

    Probably not. Batteries usually come in a discharged condition, meaning that you need to fully charge them before putting them to use. We recommend that you fully charge your battery for it to reach its maximum capacity.

  • Do all batteries discharge when not in use?

    All batteries self-discharge, however, the rate at which they do so depends on the model, type and storage.
